Winter Update
February 25, 2026The Department of Public Works has successfully completed today’s Village-wide sanitation collection. Collection will follow the regular schedule for tomorrow (Thursday) and Friday. There will be no recycling collection this week; it will resume next week.
Alternate side of the street parking regulations will be suspended until further notice.
If your car is parked on the street, we kindly ask that you remain on the same side for now. Keeping one side open will help facilitate continued snow removal, and emergency response.
Residents are reminded that it is both illegal and dangerous to blow or throw snow into the street. This will be enforced.
We offer our sincere thanks to our Village workforce whose steady commitment, long hours, and pride in their work carried the community through this historic storm. We are equally grateful to our residents for their patience and cooperation, and for the resolve that has always defined Island Park.
