Located on picturesque Island Park Harbor, the beach is named after Michael Masone the former Superintendent of the Department of Public Works, who took great pride in his community and its residents and went to extreme measures to keep it beautiful.

Our village boasts some of the best bays, swimming, water fun and of course parks on all of Long Island. The Department of Beach and Recreation along with the Department of Public Works, works very hard to make sure all village parks are in tip top shape at all times.

Pickleball Courts at Masone Beach

Available June 27 – September 7
Reservations are required to use the courts between 9:30 am and 4:30 pm

  • One-hour reservation time slots
  • Limit of one court per reservation
  • Seasonal or daily beach tag required for use
  • Courts are available on a first-come, first-served basis after 4:30 pm

Pickleball equipment rentals

Pickleball sets can be rented for $5 per session. A valid form of ID must be left with the staff.

Beach Tags and Parking

Masone Beach officially opens for the summer season on Saturday, June 27th. Beach tags and parking permits can be purchased starting on June 1st at Village Hall only. Day passes will be available for purchase daily at Masone Beach. Prices for the 2026 Beach, Gazebo, and Parking season will remain the same as the 2025 season. Proof of Island Park residency is required at the time of purchase.

Beach Hours: Open daily from 9 AM to 9 PM.
Lifeguard Hours: Daily from 10 AM to 6 PM.

The annual prices for beach tags are (and subject to change at any time):

Village Residents:

Under 5: No Charge
Beach Tag Ages 5-64 – $30.00
Beach Tag Seniors (65+) – $15.00

Parking – $30.00
Senior Parking – $15.00

Daily Passes: $5.00

Non-Village Residents:

Under 5: No Charge
Beach Tag Ages 5-64 – $50.00
Beach Tag Seniors (65+) – $30.00

Parking -$50.00
Senior Parking – $30.00

Daily Passes: $10.00

All Island Park Fire Department Members receive Village Resident Rates.

Please call Village Hall to inquire about occasional water and beach closings due to heavy rainfalls or thunderstorms.

Beach Tags and Parking Permits are required for beach access and parking until Labor Day, 9 AM to 6 PM daily.
