August 15th Road Closures for Centennial Celebration
August 5, 2026We would like to provide our residents with advance notice of several road closures and parking restrictions associated with the Centennial Celebration on Saturday, August 15, so everyone has ample time to plan accordingly.
- Approximately 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. – Long Beach Road, from Parma Road to Ostend Road, will be temporarily closed in the vicinity of Island Park Fire Department Headquarters to allow for the safe conduct of our Time Capsule Ceremony. Detours will be in place.
- Approximately 11:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – Long Beach Road, from Warwick Road to Island Parkway, along with a small portion of Waterford Road adjacent to Masone Beach, will be closed to allow for the safe passage of our Centennial Parade.
- 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. – No parking will be permitted on Waterford Road from Long Beach Road to the entrance of Masone Beach.
- The Waterford Road parking lot serving Masone Beach will be closed for the entire day. Beachgoers, residents, and visitors are encouraged to park in the rear lot adjacent to Beach Way, as limited space permits.
